I'm happy to announce that PopSQL is joining Timescale! 🎉

The PopSQL team will be joining Timescale to help build the best PostgreSQL developer experience for the cloud era, and we couldn’t be more excited.

What does this mean for our users and customers?

PopSQL is not going anywhere 😊. As of April 3, 2024, PopSQL customers will be supported and served by Timescale, with all the same exciting features that our customers love, including connectivity to our most popular data sources such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, MySQL, SQL Server, and more. Nothing will change with respect to PopSQL billing processes and customer subscriptions, except those communications will now come from Timescale. PopSQL customers won't need to change anything to continue their subscription as is.

What is Timescale?

Timescale makes PostgreSQL powerful at every scale. Compared to vanilla PostgreSQL, Timescale queries are up to 1,000x faster and storage 5x cheaper. Thousands of companies like Uber, Coinbase, Microsoft Gaming, HPE, Raytheon, and NextEra Energy run 100,000+ production databases on Timescale. They migrated because their previous solutions on Amazon RDS, Mongo, InfluxDB and others were slow and expensive. Timescale has raised over $180M in funding from top-tier investors, including NEA, Benchmark, Redpoint, Icon Ventures, Tiger Global, and Two Sigma Ventures.

Thank you

Thank you to our amazing team, customers, investors, and advisors who supported us every step of the way!

Happy querying,
